When fans were treated to a Suits reunion earlier this year, many were quick to notice one familiar face missing — Meghan Markle’s.

Markle’s time on the hit legal drama marked her last acting role before she traded the world of TV for tiaras, going from playing the sharp and stylish Rachel Zane to becoming the Duchess of Sussex.

Though she’s since dabbled in entertainment through projects like her Netflix series and various voiceover roles, Markle hasn’t returned to the screen as her beloved Suits character. However, reports suggest she may soon step back into acting after being spotted on the set of Amazon MGM Studios’ new film Close Personal Friends.

The 44-year-old left Suits at the end of its seventh season — and by the sound of it, she left completely.

When several cast members reunited at the 2024 Golden Globes to present an award, fans hoped Markle might make a surprise appearance. But she was nowhere to be seen.

Actress Gina Torres, who played powerhouse attorney Jessica Pearson, was asked about Markle’s absence — and her answer was surprisingly blunt.

Speaking to reporter Marc Malkin, Torres revealed that the cast’s group chat had been buzzing non-stop as they prepared for their big reunion. “Our text thread is insane right now, it’s exciting,” she said.

When asked if anyone had reached out to Markle to invite her, Torres simply replied: “We don’t have her number. We just don’t.”

Torres added that there were no hard feelings, saying, “She’ll see, she’ll watch. She’ll be happy that we’re here.”

It seems Markle may have lost touch with her former colleagues over the years — or perhaps just changed numbers and didn’t update the old Suits crew.

Patrick J. Adams, who played her on-screen love interest Mike Ross, confirmed as much on his podcast Sidebar. He explained that since Markle married Prince Harry, her life has gone in a “very different direction,” and the two are “not really in touch” anymore.

Still, the Duchess recently reached out to congratulate Adams on his new project, offering to “help in any way” she could — proof that while she may have moved on from the Pearson Specter world, there’s still some warmth between her and her old castmates.
