Prince Louis ‘takes on new role’ within the Royal Family

Prince Louis, now 7, once again charmed the public during a VE Day appearance—though his behavior this time showed something new. A body language expert says it signals a new role within his royal family.

As the youngest of Prince William and Kate’s children, Louis is unlikely to ever be king. That’s led many to wonder: what will his future look like?

Prince Harry once feared Louis would be a “spare,” just like him. But reports suggest William and Kate are determined to give Louis—and Charlotte—a strong sense of purpose and identity outside the monarchy.

Royal expert Jennie Bond says the couple is focused on raising all their children to feel “special, loved, and valued,” and may encourage Louis to pursue a civil career—whether in the military, charity work, or something entirely his own.

Prince Louis turned seven on April 23, marked by a new birthday portrait and video released by Kate Middleton. Royal expert Phil Dampier told Hello! that Louis is growing into a confident and lively young boy, calling him “full of life” and likely to follow his father into the armed forces one day.

Known for his cheeky moments during public events, Louis once again stole the spotlight during the 80th anniversary of VE Day in May, charming onlookers with playful gestures and mimicking his brother George.

Prince Louis Steps Into New Role, Expert Says

Body language expert Judi James claims Prince Louis may be taking on a new “family prefect” role within the Royal Family.

Speaking to The Sun, James noted that Louis is now showing signs of leadership — a role once quietly held by Princess Charlotte.

She pointed out a key moment after the royal family returned to the palace: “Louis broke rank and walked straight up to Princess Anne, striking up a conversation. It was surprising — but shows he’s starting to find his place.”

According to James, his confident gestures may hint at a future as a working royal.

Prince Louis Stuns with Unexpected Move at VE Day Event

At the 80th anniversary of VE Day, 6-year-old Prince Louis surprised royal watchers by correcting Prince George’s posture during the flypast — a role usually taken by Princess Charlotte.

Body language expert Judi James noted it as a “very unexpected royal pecking-order turn-around,” saying Louis stood to attention first and firmly signaled George to drop his hands.

Looks like the youngest Wales sibling is stepping up!
