Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘desperate’ to hold peace talks with the Royal Family

A source has claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “desperate” to heal their ongoing feud with the Royal Family.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “desperate” to hold peace talks with the Royal Family, a source has claimed.

Harry and Meghan have been at loggerheads with the Royal Family for some time, especially since stepping down as senior working royals at the start of 2020. The couple now reside in California with their two children.

Although it has been four years since their departure, one source told the Mail that it seems “clear” that Meghan and Harry are keen on the feud coming to an end.

The source said: “It seems quite clear that they are desperate to start healing the rift.”

Despite this, the source told the publication that some members of the family are not so keen – with them worried that anything they say to Harry will “appear in Spare volume two”.

Explaining further, they added: “The problem for the King and other members of the family is the worry that if they have a chat with Harry, it will appear in a Spare sequel.

“How do you regain the trust? I don’t think Harry ever can. But from the conversations I’ve had with the King, I would never say their relationship is irreparable.

“The King’s capacity to forgive his son is undimmed. There are other members of the royal family who are much more weighted against Harry, that’s the problem.”

Although the source added that Harry’s relationship with the King appears “irreparable”, it has also been reported that the King is open to reconciliation with his youngest son.

The King is said to have drawn comfort from spiritual leaders, which has led to “spiritual nourishment”, it has been revealed.

The Mail on Sunday reported: “Faith has always been a part of Charles’s life and something he’s explored, but since becoming King it is playing a more central role.

“That reliance on faith and quiet contemplation has become a comfort and asset to him and helps him cope with the role as he adapts to being King.”
