The Duchess of Sussex, 44, found herself at the center of online controversy after sharing a black-and-white video of her post-game celebration with close friend Kelly McKee Zajfen.

The clip, posted to Markle’s Instagram Stories, captured the pair celebrating the Los Angeles Dodgers’ World Series victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday night — but many viewers labeled the moment as “staged.”

A Moment Under Scrutiny

In the short video, Markle appeared thrilled — screaming with excitement, jumping up and down, and then rushing over to kiss a rather unimpressed Prince Harry. While the footage seemed to show a happy moment, critics on social media were quick to call it inauthentic.

“Looks so fake,” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another simply said, “Staged.”

Others chimed in with similar sentiments. “She is so fake!” one user posted, while another remarked, “Cameras constantly filming every moment.”

“This is irritating to see. Fake AF,” added another commenter. “Of course it was NOT staged because, you know, the camera was perfectly positioned to capture everyone. Oh my gosh! Look how happy we are and so into each other. See, we have a friend and it’s not my bottle of wine.”

Criticism Extends to Their Stadium Appearance

This isn’t the first time the couple has been in the spotlight during the World Series. Earlier in the week, on Tuesday, Oct. 28, Markle and Prince Harry were photographed attending Game 4 at Dodger Stadium. The pair sat together in the front row — notably in front of sports legends Magic Johnson and Sandy Koufax.

That seating arrangement sparked another wave of online outrage.

“Those two nobodies sat in FRONT of Koufax?” one X user commented. “Someone paid someone off.”

“How did these grifters get better seats than Koufax?!” another asked.

“Seating them in front of Sandy Koufax seems inappropriate for the occasion,” added a third. “Also, as part of Canada’s royal family, shouldn’t Prince Harry be sporting a Blue Jays cap?”

A Mixed Reception at the Game

Despite the criticism, Markle and Harry appeared to enjoy themselves, chatting with Koufax and later posing for a photo with Magic Johnson and his wife, Cookie.

However, their reception from the crowd was far from warm. When the couple appeared on the Jumbotron during the game — which ended with the Blue Jays defeating the Dodgers 6–2 — fans reportedly booed them.
