Major blow to Meghan Markle ‘hurt and betrayed’ after bombshell ‘one-sided’ claim

A new German documentary, Harry – The Lost Prince, has sparked controversy and reportedly left Meghan Markle feeling “hurt and betrayed” following a series of pointed claims about her and Prince Harry’s life as global charity ambassadors.

The documentary, which aired last week, delves into the Sussexes’ current lifestyle, featuring intimate interviews with former Metropolitan Police security chiefs, Montecito neighbors, and even a veteran from Harry’s Afghanistan service. The couple, it seems, are unhappy with how they were portrayed.

“Both Meghan and Harry feel the show is yet another one-sided takedown of them and just want it all to stop,” a source told OK!. The insider added, “It’s like they can’t escape their past and are still being judged on things that happened over five years ago. But they know it gets people talking and makes money.”

Meghan, in particular, feels wounded by the input of her Montecito neighbors. According to the source, she believes they have betrayed her trust by participating in the documentary rather than offering friendship and support.

“It was hard for her to make this move and have the eyes of the world on them. She needed friends but was understandably guarded because of what she’d been through,” the source shared. “This documentary has confirmed her belief in being cautious about who she trusts.”

The film also highlights how the couple’s preference for privacy may have hindered their efforts to build local connections. Neighbor Richard Mineards commented on their lifestyle, stating:

“I personally don’t think that Meghan is an asset to our community. She doesn’t really go out or get involved with the community. Harry has to a certain extent because he’s quite jolly… but Meghan doesn’t seem to get seen anywhere… And you don’t see him either.”

Despite such remarks, the source defended Meghan, noting that her guarded approach is understandable given the speculation surrounding her life, including rumors about her marriage. Addressing such rumors, Harry humorously dismissed them during a recent engagement, saying:

“Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well.”

The documentary, created by veteran royal reporter Ulrike Grunewald, asserts that the most damaging revelations often originate from within the Sussexes’ circle. “Revelations that shock the royal family only come out of Prince Harry’s or Meghan Markle’s mouths,” Grunewald remarked.

The program also cast a critical light on the couple’s charity efforts, revealing a significant drop in donations to their Archewell Foundation—from $13 million in 2021 to $2 million in 2022. It also claims that the couple officially dedicates only an hour per week to their foundation.

Former security chiefs were also interviewed for the documentary, including Dai Davies, a former Head of Royal Protection and Divisional Commander in the Metropolitan Police. Davies criticized Harry for disclosing in his memoir Spare that he killed Taliban fighters during his military service, arguing that such admissions make him a “potential target.”

Davies also scrutinized the couple’s high-profile trips, which he described as “carefully orchestrated.” Referring to their recent visit to Colombia for the Archewell Foundation, he noted:

“In Colombia, although there are very rich people there, the vast majority—85 or 90 percent—are very poor. And what I’ve noticed of these tours is that he mixes with the upper classes.”

While Harry – The Lost Prince has reignited debates about the Sussexes’ lives and choices, it has also left the couple grappling with fresh waves of scrutiny, underscoring the challenges of their life in the spotlight.
