King Charles ‘frustrated and upset’ over Prince Harry’s attack on royal family after losing security bid

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM:
King Charles is reportedly feeling “frustrated” over Prince Harry’s response after losing a legal case about getting publicly funded security while in the UK.

Following the court’s decision, the Duke of Sussex gave a bold interview to the BBC, where he shared his disappointment—not just with the ruling, but also with the royal family. Despite this, he said he still hopes to make peace with them.

King Charles is ‘frustrated and upset’ with Prince Harry

A close friend of King Charles shared that the King is “upset” because Prince Harry didn’t seem to understand that it would have been “constitutionally improper” for him to get involved in the case, and that the lawsuit has created an unnecessary cost for taxpayers.

They told The Sun, “What has frustrated and upset him on a more personal level is the Duke’s failure to respect this principle.”

And for his supporters to suggest that somehow his father doesn’t care about his family, or should step in. He’s been particularly concerned that it has taken considerable resources and cost for the Government to defend their position,” the source added.

Prince Harry says he does not know ‘how much longer my father has’

In a BBC interview, Prince Harry shared that he was “devastated” after the court ruling on Friday, May 2.

He also said he “can’t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point.”

There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family. This current situation that has been ongoing for five years with regards to human life and safety is the sticking point; it is the only thing that’s left,” he explained.

Still, Harry said he “would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore, as I said life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff but it would be nice to reconcile.”

Buckingham Palace slams Prince Harry over BBC interview

In the same interview, Prince Harry seemed to place some responsibility on his father, saying, “There is a lot of control and ability in my father’s hand, ultimately this whole thing could be resolved through him not necessarily by intervening but by stepping aside allowing the experts to do what is necessary and to carry out an RMB.”

In response to Harry’s comments, a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace replied, “All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion.”
