The Princess of Wales, who was undergoing cancer treatment, has been awarded a newly created title.

King Charles III has granted Kate and Prince William new honors in recognition of their service and dedication to public life, with Queen Camilla also receiving a new title.

In a recent announcement, King Charles III appointed Kate Middleton as the “Royal Companion of The Order of the Companions of Honour.” This is a brand-new designation, with no previous holder.

The Order of the Companions of Honour, established by King George V in 1917, was created to recognize exceptional achievements in public service, the arts, medicine, and the sciences.

Despite her ongoing health battle, Kate continues to show commitment to her causes. Her work with organizations such as the Little Princess Trust and her early childhood development initiative, Shaping Us, highlights her dedication.

Though she is currently stepping back from public duties to prioritize her recovery, she has made it clear she intends to return to her royal role as soon as she is able.

Queen Camilla was honored with the title “Grand Master and First or Principal Dame Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.”

At the same time, Prince William was appointed “Great Master of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath,” a title formerly held by King Charles. The Prince of Wales has continued to carry out royal engagements, stepping up in the wake of his father’s cancer diagnosis announced earlier this year.

While many royal fans celebrated the honors given to the princess, some expressed concern. “When something is going wrong, they get new titles and medals? What is coming out soon?” one person commented. Another added, “Definitely a distraction as to what is really happening.”
