Royal Expert Warns Meghan Could Face ‘Terrible Revenge’ for Sharing Archie and Lilibet Photos

Meghan Markle appears to be shifting away from her once-firm stance on family privacy by sharing more content featuring her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, on social media.

On June 4, the Duchess posted a video on Instagram of herself dancing and twerking while heavily pregnant with Lilibet, in celebration of her daughter’s fourth birthday.

The video quickly went viral, sparking both public interest and criticism. Royal expert Hugo Vickers has since suggested that Archie and Lilibet might one day resent their mother for using their images for public attention.

“Terrible Revenge” Predicted From the Children

Appearing on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show with royal editor Matt Wilkinson and journalist Samara Gill, Vickers shared his concerns about how the Sussex children have been portrayed online—often with blurred or obscured faces.

He commented, “I just think there’s gonna be a terrible revenge when those children grow up… I would be very annoyed if I found that I’d been used in all these posts in a strange way by my parents.”

Vickers also pointed out the emotional impact of the children growing up without knowing their grandfathers. “Equally they’re also going to grow up at one point and discover that they never knew their grandparents, their grandfathers.”

New PR Direction: “We Want the Kids’ Faces”

The panel also discussed what seems to be a dramatic shift in Meghan’s social media strategy, especially in light of her earlier insistence on shielding her children from public exposure. Gill noted the contrast in recent posts, saying,

“The children’s faces were front and center of those videos, so it seems like this new PR team has just chucked everything that she previously had out the door and said no we want you twerking, we want the kids’ faces, and we want everything out there and we want the public to be able to dissect it.”

She also described it as “tragic” that King Charles and Thomas Markle remain absent from Archie and Lilibet’s lives.

Meghan’s “Truth” Comment Sparks Backlash

Elsewhere in the episode, Wilkinson expressed surprise over Meghan’s remarks during her appearance on the Aspire With Emma Grede podcast. Referring to her time within the royal family, Meghan told the host, “Yes, I would ask people to tell the truth,” when asked what she would do differently if given a chance to rewrite her public narrative.

According to the Daily Mail, Samara Gill questioned whether the Sussexes’ frequent staff changes could provide better insight into that “truth.” Vickers added, “It’s because she’s married to Harry it gives the soap opera quality that seems to appeal to everyone. Otherwise would not really care about her.”

A Desperate Appeal to the King?

Despite the visible changes in Meghan’s online presence, some insiders believe Harry could be the one pushing for the increased exposure of their children. A source told the Daily Mail that Harry is holding onto hope that sharing images of Archie and Lilibet might reach King Charles, who allegedly refuses to see them—even virtually.

“His dad refuses to see him or the kids, not even on Zoom… He’s desperately hoping the King might see a picture of Archie or Lilibet and realize what he’s missing,” the insider shared. The source also revealed that Harry has made multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact his father. “He’s tried everything… calls, letters… But nothing’s worked.”
