Queen Camilla has spoken publicly about a passion she shares with Meghan Markle.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, is set to appear in a brand-new Netflix reality series titled With Love, Meghan, premiering on March 4. In the trailer, Meghan is seen dressed in a white beekeeping suit, learning how to manage an apiary.
At one point, she excitedly says, “Look at how much honey we have!”
The hobby ties into her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which is expected to include honey among its offerings, along with jam — a product that Meghan reportedly gifted to several of her close friends last year.
Meghan’s interest mirrors that of Queen Camilla, who has her own history with beekeeping. The Queen previously sold honey made at her Ray Mill House estate in Wiltshire, with Fortnum & Mason among the retailers.
Camilla has also been a longtime client of beautician Deborah Mitchell, whose company Heaven has provided her with bee venom-based “anti-ageing” facials for the past two decades. Just last month, Mitchell’s business was awarded a Royal Warrant.
A Shared Concern for Bee Preservation
Speaking to the Mail, Mitchell highlighted the environmental threats bees face: “There’s fewer bees around because pesticides kill them as well as radio waves.”
She is expected to attend a reception at Buckingham Palace today, where she will likely speak further with Queen Camilla about their mutual concern.
“It’s important because, without bees, there won’t be any humanity,” Mitchell explained. “Her Majesty and I do talk about things like that. She is concerned about the bees.”
Camilla’s husband, King Charles III, is also invested in beekeeping and maintains hives at several royal residences, including Highgrove House and Windsor Castle.
Meghan Expresses Excitement Over the Project
Meghan promoted the upcoming show on Instagram, writing: “I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year!”
She went on to thank the production crew and her Netflix team, adding, “Beyond grateful for the support — and fun!”
The upcoming series marks another chapter in Meghan’s post-royal ventures — this time, spotlighting a hobby she happens to share with the Queen herself.
