Prince Harry admits his ‘worst fears have been confirmed’ following major royal family update

Prince Harry has stated that his ‘worst fears have been confirmed’ amid his ongoing legal battle to reinstate police protection for his family.

The Duke of Sussex has suggested that the decision to reduce his security was a deliberate move to prevent him and his wife, Meghan Markle, from stepping back as working royals and relocating to the US in 2020.

According to a report by The Telegraph, Harry claimed that his ‘worst fears’ were ‘confirmed’ after secret evidence was presented during his ongoing legal dispute with the Home Office. This legal fight is focused on his attempt to regain the level of security he previously had while in the UK.

A significant portion of the appeal was heard in private due to the ‘confidential evidence.’

Speaking later, Harry said: “People would be shocked by what’s being held back.”

He also mentioned that his “worst fears have been confirmed by the whole legal disclosure in this case and that’s really sad.”

According to the report, Harry reportedly feels that King Charles could have played a role in reinstating his security, though Buckingham Palace has denied this.

A palace source told the Guardian: “These are matters of security and government policy and, as usual, it would be inappropriate to comment or intervene on either.”

Five years ago, Meghan and Harry made the dramatic decision to step down from their royal roles and relocate abroad to create a private life for their children.

As reported by HELLO!, Harry’s main aim is to visit the UK safely with his family.

A source shared: “The goal for Prince Harry is simple.

“He wants to ensure the safety of himself and his family while in the UK so his children can know his home country and so he can help support his patronages and their important work.”

After their security was reduced, Harry took legal action, which ultimately led to several hearings.

After a ruling last year in which the Duke lost his legal challenge, a spokesperson stated that he planned to appeal, clarifying: “The Duke is not asking for preferential treatment, but for a fair and lawful application of Ravec’s [The Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures] own rules, ensuring that he receives the same consideration as others in accordance with Ravec’s own written policy.

“In February 2020, Ravec failed to apply its written policy to the Duke of Sussex and excluded him from a particular risk analysis.

“The Duke’s case is that the so-called ‘bespoke process’ that applies to him is no substitute for that risk analysis.”
