Paris Fashion Week had already been buzzing with excitement over major designer debuts — but on Saturday night, Meghan Markle unexpectedly became the center of attention.
The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance at the Balenciaga show, marking her first-ever attendance at the prestigious Paris Fashion Week.
The show also celebrated the debut of Balenciaga’s new creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, whose arrival was one of the most anticipated moments of the season.
The Duchess’s Elegant All-White Look
For the event, Markle embraced Balenciaga’s signature drama and sophistication in a head-to-toe white ensemble. She wore a flowing white cape over a crisp white crepe button-down shirt and matching tailored trousers.
Completing her look, she opted for sleek black pointed-toe heels and carried a simple black clutch. Her hair was pulled back into a neat bun, accentuating the minimalist elegance of the outfit.
Before making her entrance, Meghan teased her look on Instagram with a short video clip of herself walking across a marble floor, set to the French song “Viens On Essaie” by Vitaa & Julien Doré — a subtle nod to the Parisian flair of the night.
A History with Piccioli’s Designs
This isn’t the first time Markle has worn designs by Pierpaolo Piccioli. Over the years, she’s chosen several of his creations for important occasions, including a previous all-white look at the 2022 Invictus Games and a striking custom red cape gown during her and Prince Harry’s official visit to Morocco in 2019.
What’s Next for the Duchess
After her stylish Paris appearance, Meghan is expected to travel to New York next week with Prince Harry to attend the Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Gala on Thursday. The couple will be honored there with the Humanitarians of the Year Award.
Still, with a few days left before her New York engagement, there’s speculation that the Duchess might remain in Paris to catch more runway shows — perhaps even Matthieu Blazy’s highly anticipated Chanel debut on Monday.
