Meghan and Harry Pay Quite A Sum For Their Son’s Hobby

It was a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, but eagle-eyed royal watchers didn’t miss a beat. In her latest Netflix series With Love, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex quietly revealed a new passion for her five-year-old son, Prince Archie — and it could be adding a surprising new expense to the Sussex household.

In a behind-the-scenes snapshot shared as part of the show’s second season, Meghan offered one of her rare glimpses into family life in Montecito. While both Archie and his younger sister, Princess Lilibet, remain carefully shielded from the spotlight, one detail stood out immediately: Archie was dressed in a vivid red T-shirt emblazoned with the logo of GB Soccer School.

A Prince on the Pitch

The small clue revealed that Archie has joined the exclusive training program, which caters to children as young as two and prides itself on developing technical skills from the ground up. Unlike a casual game in the park, GB Soccer School promotes itself as a boutique academy, with certified coaches, capped class sizes of just eight children per trainer, and a focus on structured development.

But such exclusivity comes at a cost. Classes are sold in eight-week blocks, with “Parent & Me” sessions priced at $320, 45-minute lessons at the same rate, and one-hour training edging up to $360. For a full year, the Sussexes could be paying well over $2,000 for Archie’s spot on the pitch — a figure far higher than what most families spend on youth sports.

Balancing Privacy and Glimpses of Home Life

The revelation underscores the careful balance Harry and Meghan continue to strike in raising their children. Every public glimpse is tightly managed, revealing just enough to satisfy public curiosity while keeping their family life largely off-limits. For Meghan, sharing Archie’s soccer uniform may have been a fleeting moment — but for royal followers, it offered a fascinating insight into the everyday hobbies shaping the young prince’s childhood.
