Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be “reeling” after photos from a recent family beach trip with their children, Archie and Lilibet, surfaced online.
The Sussexes were spotted at Santa Claus Beach last Friday, enjoying the sunshine as six-year-old Archie took part in a surfing lesson. Meghan was seen standing with four-year-old Princess Lilibet, while Harry chatted with other parents nearby. At one point, Meghan was holding one of the family’s dogs.
The images — now circulating widely online — show Archie in a wetsuit and T-shirt with the surf school’s logo, smiling and rolling in the sand. Lilibet, dressed in a white shirt and matching leggings, stayed close to her mum.
Sussexes Feel ‘Sold Out’
A source close to the couple told columnist Rob Shuter the outing was planned to be low-key, with every detail arranged to protect their privacy.
“They’re devastated,” the insider said. “This was supposed to be a peaceful day. Instead, they feel blindsided and exposed… someone sold them out.”
The leak has reportedly been a “wake-up call” for the family, who have worked hard to keep their children out of the public eye since moving to California in 2020.
Another onlooker told Hello! Magazine that Harry and Meghan appeared relaxed and proud parents:
“They were very down to earth… so proud of Archie. It was cute to watch — a special family time.”

Harry is no stranger to the waves. A keen surfer, he’s been filmed in the past at Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch in central California — a man-made wave facility considered one of the best in the world. Given his passion, it’s no surprise Archie is already learning to ride the waves himself.
