Prince William is reportedly furious and intends to revoke Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s HRH titles once he takes the throne after King Charles III.

According to a royal insider who spoke to the Daily Beast, “Charles might be happy to put up with this, but William won’t,” referring to Meghan’s use of her “Her Royal Highness” title in connection with her lifestyle products — including a high-end jam.

The source added that William harbors deep resentment toward the couple, saying, “He loathes and despises Harry and Meghan with every bone in his body.” William allegedly believes they’ve gone against everything the royal family represents, and their use of royal titles for personal branding only fuels his anger.

The insider also claimed that Meghan’s actions go against an agreement made with the late Queen Elizabeth II, which reportedly barred her from using the HRH title for commercial purposes, particularly in relation to her brand, As Ever.

“Charles might be happy to put up with this, but William won’t,” a royal insider told the Daily Beast, allegedly referring to Meghan using her HRH title to promote lifestyle products like her high-end jam.

“He absolutely despises Harry and Meghan,” the source continued. “He feels they’ve betrayed everything the royal family represents. The idea that they’re using their royal titles for personal gain infuriates him.”

According to the insider, Meghan’s use of the HRH title for her brand As Ever goes against a previous agreement she made with the late Queen Elizabeth II.

“They said, ‘Meghan using her HRH title shows just how weak he is. She knows he won’t take any action. King William won’t tolerate this once he becomes king. The titles will simply be taken away then. A way will be found.’”

A source close to Markle denied any breach of agreement, saying the basket was a “personal gift.”

“Harry and Meghan still have their HRH titles, but by agreement, they can’t use them commercially,” the source explained. “Though they don’t publicly use ‘HRH,’ this was a personal gift, so their titles remain.”

However, a former courtier told the Daily Beast that Markle’s explanation was “rubbish,” emphasizing that the terms of their royal exit clearly stated they agreed never to use the HRH titles in any way.

The official public statement about the couple stepping back from royal duties seems to support what the courtier said.

It says, “With The Queen’s blessing, the Sussexes will continue to maintain their private patronages and associations.”

Although they won’t formally represent The Queen anymore, the Sussexes have emphasized that they will keep honoring Her Majesty’s values in all their actions.

The statement also makes it clear, “The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family.”

Kensington Palace and representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have yet to respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

Harry and Meghan stepped back from their senior royal duties in 2020 and moved to Southern California.

Since then, they’ve welcomed their children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, and settled on a large estate in Montecito.

Markle, 43, launched her Netflix series With Love, Meghan in March and officially introduced her lifestyle brand, As Ever, on April 2. Popular items like raspberry spread, lemon ginger tea, edible flower sprinkles, and shortbread cookie mix have already sold out.

Despite some criticism, Markle’s Netflix show has been renewed for a second season.
