Prince Harry told the key to ending feud with Royal family is admitting one ‘huge mistake’

As the rift between Prince Harry and the Royal family continues to grow, one expert has claimed that the Duke could still have a chance at reconciliation – but only if he admits he ‘made a mistake’.

Amid the ongoing Royal family drama Prince Harry has found himself embroiled in, the senior royal might have a shot at mending fences with his relatives in the wake of his explosive memoir ‘Spare’ and the candid Netflix docuseries with wife Meghan Markle, according to one royal commentator. However, the Duke of Sussex’s chance at reconciliation hinges on him owning up to an error in judgement.

The Sussexes’ decision to step back from Royal duties in 2020 and their subsequent relocation to the US has been marked by a series of public criticisms levelled at the Royal household, deepening the divide, especially with King Charles and Prince William. The strain in relations was underscored by Harry’s noticeable absence from key Royal events, even as his father and sister-in-law Kate Middleton faced health challenges, including their participation in the Trooping the Colour ceremony last month.

Yet despite his absence, there remains a glimmer of hope for healing the rift according to Grant Harrold, a former Royal butler who previously served the monarch himself. In a conversation with the New York Post, Harrold suggested “The only way I see this happening is a public statement from Harry, where you come out and say that you were in a bad space and that [Spare] was a mistake.”, reports the Express.

Although the solution is feasible, Grant also went on to cast doubt on the possibility of Prince Harry extending an olive branch to reclaim his previous Royal life. “I don’t think that’s going to happen,” he confessed.

“Some bad things were said, and some families never patch things up, and that’s how it is forevermore,” Grant remarked, also suggesting that Harry “will regret” the revelations in his memoir.

Harrold acknowledged Harry’s charitable nature, noting, “He’s got a big heart,” and mused that “a part of him probably wishes things would be different.” However, when it comes to mending fences with the Prince and Princess of Wales, Harrold was pessimistic, citing “too much damage” had been inflicted.

“[Harry] caused damage and broke down trust,” he opined, expressing skepticism about the restoration of their once-close bond: “I doubt they’ll ever get back the relationship they had originally.”
